As Thanksgiving approaches each year, we all become more aware of the gifts and blessings we have received. This special day gives us time to reflect and appreciate all that we have. And while there is always something to be grateful for, it is sometimes easy to forget that some face  more challenges than others. Our organization is grateful for the opportunity to offer a place of hope and healing to those who experience such struggles.

At Acute Behavioral Health, we are thankful to play a small part in a broad team that’s committed to helping children and their families with complex and unique challenges. Engaging with the various treatment teams at our facilities, who work with a singular focus on reuniting kids with their families and communities, is awe inspiring.

So, thank you to our residents and their families for entrusting us with your care. It takes courage and commitment to seek treatment, and we are honored and humbled by your partnership.

I’m also thankful to work alongside our community partners, who share a dedication to helping and supporting our residents and families. Despite the multiple hats worn through various roles and responsibilities, these individuals collaboratively develop patient-centered services that meet the needs of their communities. Thank you for your commitment to our work and cause.

In addition, I’m deeply grateful for the amazing stories of great patient care that I hear every day. It amazes me how our team of exceptionally talented individuals, who could do incredible things in any career, chose one that’s centered on helping children and going beyond what’s expected to make a difference in their lives. Our people are the heart and soul of our organization.

As Charles Dickens wrote, “Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.”

No matter what challenges you may face, remember this Thanksgiving Day, and every day, that there is always something to be grateful for, no matter how small. We look forward to 2025 and continuing to provide exceptional care to those in need.

From all of us at Acute Behavioral Health, we wish you and your family a happy, healthy, and hopeful Thanksgiving!
